Louise Dunning: Highlights of the Glass Collection at Nottingham City Museums and Galleries
DATE: Thursday 15 October 2026 at 7pm BST

Louise Dunning, Curator of Fine and Decorative Art, will talk about the glass collection at Nottingham City Museums and Galleries. The permanent displays at Nottingham Castle feature some of the collection, which was included for the reopening of the Castle in 2021, following its £30 million redevelopment. These include Lobmeyr, Salviati and 20th century studio glass. She will also discuss other highlights of the glass collection, such as the late 17th century Bles Bowl, which is housed in new art stores in Nottingham.
Louise has worked at Nottingham City Museums for ten years, having previously worked for fifteen years at Derby Museums.
